The Digicel Foundation is accepting applications for the eighth edition of its Konbit Pou Chanjman campaign until july 19
Port-au-Prince, HAITI - Wednesday, May 8, 2024: Social organizations across the country are invited to submit grant applications for the 8th edition of Konbit Pou Chanjman.
Founded in 2007, the Digicel Foundation strives to ensure a better future for the Haitian population by supporting projects aimed at improving living conditions in their communities. Since its launch in 2017, the Konbit Pou Chanjman campaign has become one of the few avenues for community leaders to see their dreams realized and to contribute to the development of their localities.
Any nonprofit organization that has been in existence for at least three years can apply in areas such as education, livelihoods, accessibility, culture, inclusion, and the environment. The deadline for submissions is July 19, and organizations are strongly encouraged to apply online at www.fondationdigicelhaiti.org, under the "Portfolio" and "Grant" sections, or directly at www.konbitpouchanjman.com. Forms are also available in Digicel stores and can be submitted, once completed, to fondation.projet@digicelgroup.com or at the same stores. It is important to note that 15 winners will be selected for this edition, each receiving 10,000 US dollars to implement their projects.
Over the years, Konbit Pou Chanjman has already funded 126 projects across the ten departments, focusing on the most remote areas. Several thousand Haitians benefit from these projects, with priority given to those with the potential to be sustainable. The Foundation's team is committed to supporting these organizations throughout the implementation process by providing guidance and the necessary tools for their success.
"We need to support each other more than ever and invest in our communities. Digicel remains aware of its social obligations and works daily to support associations through its Foundation and each of its customers. The Digicel Foundation is pleased to see the community impact of its achievements over the years, particularly through its grants," said Sophia Stransky, Executive Director of the Digicel Foundation.
