An EPIC Opportunity

EPIC is designed to empower community-based organisations to implement innovative projects that make a meaningful impact across Trinidad and Tobago. This year, the EPIC grant offers funding of TT$100,000 to ten (10) new projects focusing on three thematic areas: Environmental Sustainability, Resource-based Livelihoods and Technology/Digitalisation.

Applicant Information

Applying for an EPIC grant is competitive. Here are the basic requirements to submit an application:

Registration Documents: Only registered NPOs (inclusive of Public Schools and Faith - based Organisations) can apply for grant funding. Applicants must show proof of registration.

Governance: If shortlisted, applicants will have to provide copies of recent meeting Minutes and References from former funders. This provides evidence of the group's legitimacy and capacity to perform.

Annual Returns: As a registered NPO, you must provide a copy of your most recent Annual Returns.

Banking Information: Applicants must have a bank account in the group's name.

Budget: You will need to provide a realistic budget for project spend. The breakdown should be included in the application form. About EPIC

Extraordinary Projects Impacting Communities (EPIC) launched in 2012, aims to empower community organisations to create meaningful and sustainable impact. The program typically supports projects that address critical social, economic, or environmental challenges, with the potential to create lasting positive change in communities. Past funded projects include play parks, community gardens, aquaponics systems, solar-powered hydroponics, refurbishment of community centres, computer labs, youth-friendly spaces, and upgrades to outdoor sporting facilities, among others.

Since inception, over 96,000 persons have directly benefitted from EPIC grants. With TT$10 million invested in 170 community projects span across Trinidad and Tobago. This year, EPIC is proudly co-sponsored by Shell Trinidad and Tobago.
